Job Description:
The Compressed Air Technician in Al Farwaniyah is tasked with the operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial compressed air systems that power machinery and tools across production facilities. This role focuses on ensuring the uninterrupted and efficient performance of air compressors, dryers, filters, and distribution lines.
The technician performs daily inspections, diagnoses malfunctions, and conducts both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning filters, replacing worn seals, adjusting pressure levels, draining moisture traps, and inspecting piping for leaks or blockages. Additionally, the technician monitors system performance through gauges, sensors, and diagnostic software, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal operation.
Installation of new compressed air systems and upgrading existing lines or compressor controls may also fall under this role’s scope. The technician ensures that all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, especially concerning air quality and energy usage.
Job Requirement:
Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in mechanical or industrial maintenance.
3+ years of experience maintaining industrial air compressor systems.
Knowledge of compressor types (rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal) and air dryer technologies.
Skilled in diagnosing issues such as pressure drops, moisture problems, and system noise.
Proficient in using tools like pressure gauges, leak testers, and thermal imaging devices.
Familiarity with compressed air system layout, flow dynamics, and energy efficiency principles.
Able to perform system installations, including pipe routing and anchoring.
Basic electrical knowledge for troubleshooting motor and control panel issues.
Excellent attention to detail in system monitoring and log maintenance.
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Commitment to safety procedures and PPE usage.
Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call during system emergencies.
