Job Description:
The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Specialist in Al Farwaniyah is a highly technical role focused on the programming, optimization, and supervision of CNC equipment in the production of heavy industrial components. This role is more advanced than an operator, as it requires programming experience and the ability to design or adapt code for complex parts.
Key duties include developing machining strategies based on engineering designs, inputting and testing programs, configuring CNC machines for optimal operation, and overseeing the execution of production runs. The specialist must also monitor tool paths and cutting speeds and make continuous improvements to maximize precision and efficiency.
Another important aspect of the role is conducting machine performance assessments and performing diagnostics on mechanical and software issues. The CNC Specialist collaborates with production engineers, quality assurance teams, and maintenance staff to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
Job Requirement:
Extensive experience with CNC machine operation and programming in a heavy industrial environment.
Advanced knowledge of G-code, M-code, and post-processing for different CNC systems.
Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical drawing interpretation and machining principles.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.
Skilled in the use of metrology tools for quality control.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial automation, or related fields.
Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (3-axis, 5-axis) preferred.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Ability to lead or train junior CNC operators.
Good verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting.
