Job Description:
The Crane Operator in Hawally is responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment in port terminals, construction zones, or logistics yards. This role involves precise handling of loads to ensure safe transport and placement, following all safety regulations and operational procedures.
Duties include inspecting crane equipment before use, interpreting load charts and lifting plans, operating the crane's controls for hoisting and lowering, and coordinating movements with signalers and ground personnel. Operators must also conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Crane operators work in environments that require high concentration and situational awareness. Accuracy, mechanical aptitude, and compliance with safety standards are crucial. This role directly supports logistics timelines by enabling efficient material handling and cargo transfer.
Job Requirement:
Valid crane operator certification or license is mandatory.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proven experience operating mobile or fixed cranes.
Knowledge of rigging techniques and load-handling safety.
Ability to read and interpret load charts and lifting instructions.
Good vision, hand-eye coordination, and reaction time.
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
