Job Description:
The Online Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing items from retail inventory to fulfill online customer orders in the Qurain retail outlet. This role is critical in supporting the retailer’s e-commerce operations and ensuring customers receive the correct products in excellent condition and on time. The picker collaborates with digital sales teams, warehouse staff, and dispatch personnel to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
Key duties include receiving order slips or digital picklists, locating items within the store or warehouse, verifying item codes and quantities, scanning barcodes, and placing selected goods in appropriate packing containers. The order picker also ensures fragile or perishable items are handled properly and checks for product defects or damage before packing.
Once orders are picked, the worker transfers them to the staging area for final dispatch. Additional responsibilities may include updating inventory systems, restocking returned items, and assisting with inventory audits. Maintaining accuracy, working efficiently under pressure, and meeting daily pick-rate goals are all essential.
Job Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in order picking, e-commerce fulfillment, or warehouse work
Familiarity with inventory management and order tracking systems
Attention to detail and ability to match product codes and SKUs accurately
Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 kg
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet performance metrics
Basic computer literacy or experience with digital scanners
Flexibility to work early morning, evening, or weekend shifts
Understanding of packaging and handling standards for various product types
