This role also involves supporting IP-based workflows, managing remote feeds, and updating firmware or system software regularly.
Working closely with studio operations, content producers, and IT teams, the technician must be quick to resolve problems under time-sensitive conditions, especially during live broadcasts. The technician will document system layouts, maintain asset records, and adhere to safety protocols during installations.

Proficiency in maintaining routers, switchers, video servers, and signal converters is required. Familiarity with SDI, IP-based broadcasting, and digital compression formats is essential. Candidates should have a strong troubleshooting mindset, be comfortable with both analog and digital systems, and be available for shift work, including nights and weekends. A working knowledge of broadcast automation systems, media asset management, and remote production technology is an added advantage. A positive, adaptable attitude is key for supporting fast-paced production environments.
