Job Description:

The AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Compliance Analyst in Mesaieed plays a critical role in detecting and preventing financial crimes such as money laundering and terrorist financing within banking and financial institutions. The analyst conducts thorough reviews of transactions, customer profiles, and account activities to identify suspicious patterns or irregularities.

Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with AML regulations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to Qatar’s regulatory frameworks and international standards. The analyst works closely with compliance officers, legal teams, and regulatory bodies to investigate flagged transactions and support ongoing due diligence efforts.

The role requires preparing detailed reports, maintaining records of investigations, and assisting in the development and implementation of AML policies and training programs. The AML Compliance Analyst also contributes to audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring the institution’s AML controls are robust and effective.

Job Requirement:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience: 2–4 years in AML compliance, financial crime investigation, or regulatory risk roles.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and best practices.

Experience with transaction monitoring systems and compliance software.

Analytical skills to identify suspicious activity and assess risk levels.

Effective communication and report writing skills.

Language: Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Willingness to stay updated on evolving AML regulations in Qatar.
