Job Description:
The Buy-Side Research Analyst in Al Rayyan is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to support investment decisions for institutional clients and asset management firms. This role focuses on evaluating securities, industries, and economic conditions to identify attractive investment opportunities aligned with client portfolios.
Key responsibilities include building financial models, performing company valuations, and producing detailed investment reports that highlight risks and potential returns. The analyst works closely with portfolio managers and traders to provide timely insights that influence buy, hold, or sell decisions. Additionally, the role involves monitoring market trends, earnings reports, and regulatory changes affecting investment landscapes.
The Buy-Side Research Analyst must maintain strong analytical capabilities and a thorough understanding of financial instruments, equity markets, and macroeconomic factors. Effective communication skills are essential to convey complex research findings to diverse stakeholders. This position offers a dynamic environment that contributes directly to optimizing portfolio performance and managing investment risks within Qatar’s financial markets.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or buy-side research.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Deep understanding of equity markets and investment strategies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with financial databases and research tools (Bloomberg, FactSet).
Certifications: CFA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
Language: Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
