Job Description:
The Blockchain Developer in Umm Salal, Qatar, is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying blockchain-based applications to improve transparency, efficiency, and security across digital platforms. This role plays a critical part in building decentralized applications (DApps), writing smart contracts, and integrating blockchain solutions into existing IT systems across finance, logistics, and government services in Qatar.
Key duties include architecting blockchain protocols, developing backend code for blockchain integration, and ensuring secure transaction processing across permissioned or public networks. The developer will collaborate with security analysts, database architects, and IT managers to create tamper-proof systems that support functions like identity management, supply chain tracking, and digital asset transactions. Regular testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of smart contract code and blockchain logic is essential.
The role requires a forward-thinking mindset and a deep understanding of distributed technologies that align with Qatar’s drive for secure digital transformation and innovation.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Certifications in blockchain technologies (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger) are preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years in blockchain or smart contract development.
Skills:
Proficiency in blockchain languages such as Solidity, Go, or Rust.
Strong understanding of Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, and other blockchain frameworks.
Experience with cryptographic protocols, consensus algorithms, and decentralized networks.
Familiarity with Web3.js, Truffle Suite, and smart contract deployment.
Knowledge of backend technologies like Node.js or Python for blockchain integration.
Language: Strong English skills; Arabic is a plus.
