Job Description:
The RF Engineer in Lusail, Qatar, is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of radio frequency (RF) systems for mobile and wireless communication networks. This role involves planning and testing RF coverage, capacity, and quality to ensure efficient network performance, especially within 4G LTE and emerging 5G infrastructures.
Key responsibilities include conducting site surveys, performing drive tests, analyzing signal propagation, and recommending improvements to enhance network reliability and user experience. The RF Engineer collaborates closely with network planners, field technicians, and vendors to address RF issues and implement solutions to minimize interference and signal loss.
In Qatar’s rapidly evolving telecom landscape, the RF Engineer plays a crucial role in deploying new technologies and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also entails preparing detailed technical reports, RF documentation, and contributing to network expansion projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. The position may require fieldwork and occasional off-hours support to maintain network stability and performance.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in RF engineering within telecom networks.
Skills:
Proficient in RF design tools and software (e.g., Atoll, TEMS).
Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, GSM, and other wireless technologies.
Experience with network optimization and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze RF data and provide actionable insights.
Familiarity with spectrum management and interference mitigation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Language: Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
