Job Description:

We are hiring a Flat Knitting Machine Operator to join our garment manufacturing operations in Seville. This role involves the operation of flatbed knitting machines used to produce structured and shaped knitted components for fashion and functional apparel.

As a Flat Knitting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up machines, threading yarns, selecting appropriate settings based on product requirements, and supervising the knitting process. You will interpret job cards, follow fabric construction patterns, and ensure that stitch quality and garment shaping meet specifications.

You will also be required to monitor machine output for defects, perform adjustments to feeders or tension systems, and carry out basic maintenance tasks. Additionally, you'll assist in cleaning and resetting machines between runs and documenting production activity for quality control purposes.

This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and an eye for precision. Your efficiency and ability to detect errors early in the process will contribute directly to the quality and speed of production.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have completed a vocational course or diploma in textile technology or a related field. A minimum of one to two years’ experience operating flat knitting machines is highly desirable.

You should have knowledge of knitwear structures such as rib, jersey, interlock, and more complex technical knit designs. Familiarity with machine brands like Stoll or Shima Seiki is a strong advantage. Ability to set programs, adjust yarn tension, and resolve common machine faults is essential.

Attention to detail is critical for ensuring product consistency and avoiding waste. Candidates must be able to read technical instructions and schematics, and demonstrate safe working practices in a factory environment.

Physical stamina, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality are key attributes. Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-based production setup is expected.
