Job Description:
We are looking for a Floriculture Field Technician to join our flower production operation in Madrid. This position involves working directly in the field to monitor, maintain, and support the health and quality of flowering plants grown for commercial purposes. Your role will contribute to every stage of plant development, from planting and fertilizing to pest control and harvesting.
You will work closely with the floriculture manager to execute planting schedules, identify nutrient deficiencies or diseases, and implement integrated pest management practices. The technician will also assist in field data collection, irrigation setup, and inventory tracking of fertilizers and plant protection materials.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a keen eye for plant quality. You’ll help ensure our flowers are vibrant, healthy, and ready for markets, florists, and event suppliers. You’ll be part of a team passionate about precision and beauty in plant cultivation.
Job Requirement:
A diploma or degree in horticulture, agriculture, or botany is preferred. At least one year of hands-on experience in ornamental plant or flower cultivation is required. Familiarity with seasonal flower cycles and basic soil and nutrient management is essential.
You must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physical labor like lifting pots or bending for prolonged periods. The ability to identify plant diseases and respond with correct treatments is crucial. Knowledge of irrigation systems and fertilizer application is a plus.
Candidates must maintain accurate field records and communicate observations clearly with the team. Spanish language proficiency is required. Commitment to quality, punctuality, and maintaining clean, organized workspaces is key. Availability during peak flowering seasons and holidays is expected.
