Feeding and Nutrition: Feed and monitor the animals' nutritional needs, ensuring they receive appropriate diets and adequate access to water. Herd Management: Monitor and maintain herd health, including routine vaccinations, deworming, and disease prevention measures. Breeding and Reproduction: Assist in the breeding and reproduction processes, including mating, artificial insemination, and managing birthing processes. Facility Maintenance: Maintain clean and safe farm facilities, including animal shelters, feeding areas, and equipment. Animal Handling: Safely handle and transport livestock animals, following proper handling techniques and safety protocols. Data Recording: Maintain accurate records of animal health, births, deaths, feed consumption, and other relevant data. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment used for livestock farming, such as feeding systems or milking machines. Pasture Management: Manage grazing areas and pastures, ensuring adequate forage availability for the livestock. Job Requirement: Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Experience: Prior experience working on a livestock farm or similar agricultural setting is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Animal Handling Skills: Familiarity with animal care and handling techniques, and a genuine passion for working with livestock. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors. Communication: Basic proficiency in local language (Spanish) is beneficial for effective communication within the farm environment.
