Job Description:

We are hiring a Mushroom Cultivation Technician to support our expanding mycology operations in Madrid. This role involves managing all stages of mushroom production, including substrate preparation, inoculation, incubation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.

You will monitor growing conditions, ensure environmental parameters (humidity, temperature, CO2) are optimal, and implement pest and disease prevention protocols. The job also includes sterilization of equipment, maintaining production records, and collaborating with quality control to ensure product consistency.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about fungi and modern cultivation techniques. The work environment requires precision, cleanliness, and an understanding of biological growth cycles. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative agricultural space with long-term growth potential.

Job Requirement:

Applicants must have completed a diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, plant sciences, microbiology, or a related field. A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in mushroom farming or controlled-environment agriculture is preferred.

Familiarity with different mushroom species, sterilization techniques, and environmental control systems is crucial. Candidates must have good manual dexterity, be able to lift heavy growing trays, and follow strict hygiene standards. Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to adjust growing conditions as needed are important.

The position requires attention to detail, stamina for repetitive tasks, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. Working knowledge of Spanish is a must. Candidates must also be flexible with work schedules, especially during peak harvesting windows.
