Job Description:
The 3D Modeling Engineer in Dubai is responsible for developing accurate, high-resolution 3D models for engineering, architectural, product design, or simulation purposes. This role involves translating concepts, sketches, and technical drawings into digital 3D models that can be used for visualization, analysis, prototyping, and manufacturing. The engineer works closely with design, R&D, mechanical, and visualization teams to ensure the accuracy and technical viability of 3D assets.
Key responsibilities include creating and modifying complex 3D geometries using software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Rhino, Blender, or Autodesk Inventor. The 3D Modeling Engineer collaborates with engineers and designers to refine model details and ensure dimensional accuracy and compatibility with downstream manufacturing processes such as CNC machining or 3D printing. Tasks include generating surface models, assemblies, exploded views, and preparing STL or STEP files for production.
In addition to mechanical modeling, the engineer may be involved in animation rendering, simulation setup, or creating presentation-ready assets for stakeholder approvals. This role requires maintaining a digital asset library, ensuring version control, and integrating models into larger systems or digital twin environments. Attention to rendering quality, geometric optimization, and file compatibility is essential.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field with at least 3–5 years of experience in 3D modeling. Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Fusion 360, or Rhino is essential. Knowledge of file formats, mesh optimization, and modeling for manufacturing is required. Candidates should have a strong grasp of design for manufacturability, materials, and mechanical interfaces. Prior experience in rendering, 3D printing, or design visualization in a UAE-based engineering or manufacturing setting is preferred.
