Job Description:
The Analytical Chemist in Al Ain is responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical substances across a variety of sectors including pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food safety, and environmental testing. The role involves sample preparation, instrument calibration, and operation of analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers. The chemist ensures that results are accurate, reproducible, and compliant with industry standards such as ISO, ASTM, or ICH. Additional responsibilities include method development, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation of findings in lab information management systems (LIMS). The position also involves maintaining lab safety standards, assisting with audits, and contributing to research and development initiatives by providing detailed analytical insight. Close collaboration with production, QA/QC, and regulatory departments is critical to maintaining product integrity and compliance.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field is required, along with 2–4 years of experience in analytical laboratory environments. Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and interpreting analytical data is essential. Candidates should have strong knowledge of GMP/GLP practices, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
