Job Description:
The Application Language Specialist in Dubai is responsible for the linguistic oversight of software and application interfaces, ensuring that in-app language supports usability, accessibility, and localization goals. This role covers translation, transcreation, and validation of UI elements, tooltips, user guides, notifications, and settings menus. The specialist works closely with developers, UX/UI teams, and QA testers to identify linguistic and functional issues across multiple languages. They also contribute to the creation of linguistic assets such as glossaries, tone guidelines, and localization reports. In multilingual software environments, the specialist ensures consistency and language logic across complex user journeys and multiple platforms.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Software Localization, Linguistics, or UX Design is required. Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in software translation, UX localization, or language quality assurance. Fluency in English and another language is mandatory. Knowledge of localization tools, basic HTML/XML handling, and familiarity with agile software development cycles are essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong linguistic intuition, cross-functional coordination, and an understanding of multilingual UX patterns.
