Job Description:
The Building Watchman provides surveillance and protection services for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. Core responsibilities include patrolling the premises, monitoring CCTV systems, checking entry points, and preventing unauthorized access. The guard checks visitor credentials, maintains visitor logs, and ensures that safety protocols are followed by both staff and guests. In emergencies, they coordinate evacuations, respond to alarms, and contact appropriate authorities such as police or fire services. The watchman is also expected to report unusual behavior, damaged property, or safety hazards to management. Good visibility and alertness during night shifts or off-hours are vital, as is a calm and assertive demeanor. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of the building and its occupants. Watchmen may work in shifts and are expected to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Job Requirement:
A high school diploma is preferred. Prior experience in security or law enforcement is advantageous. Physical fitness, strong observational skills, and familiarity with emergency procedures are critical. Basic English communication and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly are also required.
