The Construction Labor Support role involves general assistance duties across various stages of construction projects. Responsibilities include clearing and preparing construction sites, setting up and taking down temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding, barricades), moving materials between work zones, and assisting skilled workers with cutting, drilling, and lifting operations. Laborers also handle basic repair tasks, cleaning, and post-job site restoration to keep the workplace tidy and safe. They may operate hand tools and small machinery under supervision and are expected to maintain safety compliance by wearing PPE and following hazard protocols. The laborer may work across residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects, and must adapt to fast-paced, physically demanding conditions. Attention to detail and coordination with team leads are critical for avoiding errors and ensuring project efficiency.
