Job Description: As a Regional Transport Officer in the automobile industry, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the transportation operations of the company within a specific region. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely transportation of vehicles, parts, and other automotive materials to and from various locations. Your role will involve coordinating with transport vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards. Additionally, you will monitor transportation costs, track shipment statuses, and implement process improvements to optimize logistics operations.

Job Requirement: A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in the automobile industry. In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and logistics operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve transportation issues. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to work effectively with transport vendors and stakeholders. Proficiency in using transportation management systems and related software. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Flexibility to travel within the assigned region as required. Knowledge of the Canadian automotive industry and its transportation requirements is highly desirable. Familiarity with customs regulations and international shipping procedures is a plus. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required depending on the specific job responsibilities.
