Job Description:

The Auto Detailing Worker in Ottawa is responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning, restoration, and finishing services to both the interior and exterior of vehicles to produce a showroom-quality appearance. Working in automotive dealerships, service centers, detailing shops, or high-end car care facilities, the worker ensures that vehicles meet high aesthetic and hygiene standards before customer delivery or resale.

Primary tasks include deep-cleaning carpets, seats, and upholstery, applying protective waxes and polishes to exterior surfaces, buffing and paint correction, steam cleaning engine compartments, and using specialized equipment to treat leather, vinyl, chrome, and plastic components. The detailing worker also identifies and reports damages or imperfections and may assist in basic cosmetic repairs like scratch removal or trim restoration.

This role demands precision, patience, and familiarity with a wide range of cleaning tools and chemicals. The worker collaborates with service teams and supervisors to meet deadlines while ensuring superior quality of service.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma preferred but not mandatory.

Experience: 1–2 years in auto detailing, cleaning, or automotive service is an asset.

Skills:

Knowledge of detailing tools, techniques, and chemical safety.

Skilled in cleaning and restoring various automotive surfaces.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to follow detailing checklists and maintain consistency.

Language: Basic English communication skills are required.

Other Requirements:

Physically able to lift, bend, kneel, and work for extended hours.

Valid driver’s license may be required to move vehicles.
