Job Description:
The Auto Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and restoring the interior and exterior surfaces of vehicles to a pristine, showroom-quality finish. Based in Toronto, this role is vital in maintaining customer satisfaction in car dealerships, rental agencies, service centers, or mobile detailing services.
Key tasks include washing and waxing vehicle exteriors, vacuuming carpets and upholstery, cleaning and conditioning leather surfaces, removing stains, shampooing mats and seats, and treating glass, chrome, and tires. Detailers may also use specialized tools such as steam cleaners, polishers, and extractors. Interior deodorizing, engine cleaning, and paint touch-ups may be required depending on the service level.
Attention to detail, speed, and precision are critical to ensuring every vehicle meets high aesthetic and cleanliness standards. Auto detailers work independently or as part of a team in both indoor garages and outdoor conditions.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in vehicle detailing or car wash services is advantageous but not mandatory; on-the-job training often provided.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Familiarity with cleaning products, tools, and safety procedures.
Ability to work efficiently and follow task checklists.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Language: Basic English communication required.
Other Requirements:
Must be physically fit to bend, kneel, and stand for long hours.
Comfortable working with cleaning agents and chemicals.
Valid driver's license may be required for vehicle movement.
