Job Description:

The Barback Support Staff in Quebec City plays a key supporting role in bar operations, ensuring bartenders have everything they need to provide prompt and efficient service to guests. Responsibilities include restocking liquor, beer, and mixers; cleaning and organizing the bar area; replenishing ice and glassware; disposing of waste; and assisting with inventory management. The barback also helps maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout the shift. Although not directly involved in mixing or serving drinks, the Barback ensures that the bar runs smoothly behind the scenes. This physically active role requires quick thinking, effective time management, and strong collaboration with the bar team. The Barback Support Staff contributes directly to the guest experience by helping maintain speed, cleanliness, and organization in high-volume bar settings such as hotels, lounges, and event venues.

Job Requirement:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous experience in a hospitality or bar environment is an asset

Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy kegs, cases, and ice bins

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure settings

Good communication and teamwork skills

Detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining a clean and stocked bar

Willingness to work late hours, weekends, and holidays

Understanding of basic beverage and bar terminology

Responsible Beverage Service Certification (e.g., Smart Serve) may be required

Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn on the job
