Job Description:

The Puncture Repair Specialist in Montreal is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and repairing damaged tires to restore their safe and functional condition. Working in automotive garages, tire shops, or service centers, the specialist handles both tubeless and tube-type tire repairs for private vehicles, commercial fleets, and light trucks.

Key tasks include removing tires from rims, locating punctures or leaks using submersion or sensor methods, and applying appropriate repair techniques such as patching, plugging, or vulcanizing. The role also involves rebalancing tires, checking for structural damage, and advising customers on tire maintenance or replacement when necessary.

The Puncture Repair Specialist is expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, operate repair equipment safely, and document repair work as part of quality assurance. The role may involve working in both indoor and outdoor settings, depending on the shop layout and mobile repair services.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma; training in automotive service or tire technology is an asset.

Experience: 1 year of experience in tire service or puncture repair is preferred.

Skills:

Familiarity with common tire repair tools and materials.

Ability to detect punctures and assess repairability.

Skilled in safe tire dismounting and remounting.

Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Language: Functional communication in English or French.

Other Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy tires and wheels.

Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (for roadside/mobile repair services).

Basic customer service skills.

Awareness of tire safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
