Job Description:
We are looking for a talented 3D CAD Designer to join our ship design and development team in Cologne. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing detailed 3D models of marine vessels, mechanical components, and structural systems. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to create accurate and functional representations of shipboard installations, including hull forms, interior layouts, and equipment configurations. Your role will involve transforming conceptual ideas into precise digital models, assisting in design validations, and integrating feedback into design revisions. Additionally, you will help in maintaining 3D model libraries and preparing presentation visuals for client and internal reviews.
Job Requirement:
A degree or diploma in mechanical design, industrial design, or marine engineering is required. Candidates must have strong expertise in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor, Rhino, SolidWorks, or CATIA. Previous experience in marine or industrial 3D design is highly preferred. Attention to geometry, spatial relationships, and engineering accuracy is essential. Applicants should have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments. The ability to meet deadlines, manage file structures, and comply with design standards is necessary. Experience with rendering and visualization tools will be a plus.
