Job Description:

We are hiring a CAD Drafter to support our shipbuilding design operations in Hamburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics used in the construction of marine vessels and onboard systems. You will translate conceptual sketches and engineering notes into precise digital blueprints, ensuring compliance with naval architectural standards and safety regulations. Collaboration with engineers, architects, and production staff will be essential to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs. Additionally, the drafter will revise drawings based on feedback and maintain updated records of all design documentation.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have a diploma or degree in drafting, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software is required. Experience in shipbuilding or marine equipment design is highly preferred. Attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and the ability to interpret complex technical instructions are critical for success in this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines while handling multiple drawing sets are also important. Familiarity with German marine industry standards will be considered an asset.
