Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Apparel Pattern Designer to join our design and production team in Munich. This role focuses on developing innovative and precise garment patterns that meet the latest fashion trends and technical requirements. The designer will work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and production teams to create and optimize patterns that ensure excellent fit and efficient manufacturing.

Responsibilities include drafting new patterns, modifying existing ones, and conducting fit tests to refine garment shape and style. The designer will use both manual techniques and advanced CAD software to produce detailed patterns, incorporating grading and style adjustments for different sizes. Collaboration with sample makers and quality control teams is crucial to ensure the final garments meet quality and design standards.

The role requires a strong eye for detail, creativity, and excellent technical skills to balance aesthetics with production feasibility. The designer must stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to create patterns that support innovation and efficiency.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have a degree or diploma in fashion design, garment technology, or a related field, with at least 3–5 years of experience in pattern design within the apparel industry.

Proficiency in CAD pattern making software such as Gerber, Lectra, or Optitex is mandatory. Experience in manual pattern drafting and garment fitting is also required.

Applicants should demonstrate a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and size grading principles. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.

Good communication and teamwork skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with designers, sample makers, and production teams. Knowledge of quality standards and manufacturing processes will be highly valued.

A passion for fashion innovation and a continuous learning mindset will be an asset in this role.
