Job Description:
We are hiring a Clothing Folding Assistant to support our garment finishing and packaging department in Cologne. This position is responsible for folding clothing items to specific standards for retail display, packaging, or shipment. The assistant plays an important role in ensuring the presentation of garments aligns with brand requirements and customer expectations.
Responsibilities include folding various types of garments using templates or guidelines, stacking folded items neatly, and placing them in appropriate packaging or boxes. The assistant will also inspect each garment for quality before folding, remove any loose threads or tags, and maintain cleanliness at the folding station.
This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, fast, and organized. Work is performed in a production environment and often requires standing for extended periods. The assistant may also support other finishing activities during peak production times.
Job Requirement:
Candidates should have completed basic secondary education. While no formal training is required, prior experience in garment folding, packaging, or retail display preparation is preferred.
Applicants must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to fold clothing neatly and uniformly across large quantities. Familiarity with folding boards or templates is an advantage. Speed and efficiency are crucial, as the role involves meeting daily output targets.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to stand for long hours, and comfortable working in a structured, repetitive environment. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle garments carefully to avoid wrinkles or damage are essential.
Basic understanding of garment types and packaging standards is helpful. Communication skills in German or English are preferred for following work instructions.
