Job Description:

We are seeking a Budget and Accounts Manager to lead the preparation, analysis, and management of departmental and organizational budgets. Based in Munich, this role is essential to ensuring fiscal responsibility and accurate reporting across teams. You will coordinate closely with finance, procurement, and project teams to build realistic budgets and track financial performance against targets.

Your responsibilities include preparing detailed monthly and quarterly reports, reconciling expenditure, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable financial regulations. This role is also responsible for financial forecasting, cost analysis, and implementing efficient accounting workflows.

As a team lead, you’ll mentor a small finance staff, review ledger entries, support annual audits, and ensure financial transparency. We are looking for someone who is methodical, collaborative, and dedicated to financial accountability. Job Requirement:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or accounts

  • Strong command of Excel, accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks), and ERP systems

  • Proficiency in creating budget models, variance analysis, and financial forecasting

  • Knowledge of German tax and accounting regulations

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • German fluency required; English proficiency highly desirable

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and team leadership skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical

  • Experience with audit preparation is an advantage
