Job Description:
We are hiring a Capacity Development Officer in Hamburg to strengthen the skills, structures, and systems of our partners and internal teams. This role involves assessing organizational capacity gaps, developing training and mentoring plans, and implementing development strategies across programs.
You will conduct needs assessments, facilitate workshops, and support organizational change through customized learning interventions. Working closely with program leads and partner organizations, you’ll create materials and toolkits that are practical and culturally responsive.

Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Development Studies, HR, or Organizational Development
Minimum 4 years of experience in capacity building or technical assistance
Skilled in needs assessments and adult learning methods
Strong communication, training, and facilitation abilities
Ability to develop resources, manuals, and e-learning modules
Fluent in German and English
Understanding of NGO, public sector, or donor agency environments
Knowledge of participatory learning approaches
Experience working in multicultural, multilingual settings
Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset
