Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Ceramics Kiln Technician to join our production team in Hamburg. This role involves operating and maintaining industrial kilns used for firing ceramic products, ensuring precise temperature control and optimal firing conditions. You will monitor kiln operations to produce high-quality ceramics that meet technical specifications and aesthetic standards.

Your responsibilities include loading and unloading kilns, setting firing schedules based on material type and product requirements, and adjusting temperature profiles accordingly. You will conduct routine inspections of kiln components and work closely with maintenance teams to address any mechanical or electrical issues.

Maintaining safety protocols when working with high-temperature equipment is paramount. You will also be responsible for keeping detailed logs of firing cycles, temperature variations, and production outcomes to ensure consistency and traceability.

This position requires technical expertise in kiln operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a heat-intensive environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-focused, and able to work independently or collaboratively within the production team.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should hold a technical qualification or vocational training in ceramics technology, kiln operation, or a related industrial process. Prior experience (minimum 2 years) working with industrial kilns or in ceramic manufacturing is preferred.

Applicants must have a strong understanding of kiln types, firing cycles, and temperature control systems. Ability to interpret firing schedules and adjust controls accordingly is essential. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to kiln operation is an advantage.

Candidates must be aware of safety practices related to high-temperature operations, including proper handling of materials and emergency procedures. Physical stamina is required to manage loading and unloading duties in a hot environment.

Good observational skills, precision in monitoring process parameters, and accurate record-keeping are important. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is necessary. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes are beneficial.
