Job Description:

We are hiring a highly skilled Clinical Data Scientist to join our growing team in Cologne. In this role, you will analyze clinical trial data, build predictive models, and contribute to data-driven decisions that impact patient outcomes and drug development. You will work closely with clinical researchers, statisticians, and regulatory teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and interpretability of data collected from various sources.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing data pipelines, developing algorithms for outcome prediction, and cleaning complex clinical datasets for use in real-time reporting and analysis. You will also play a vital role in optimizing protocol designs, identifying biomarkers, and helping drive innovation in personalized medicine through data.

In addition, you will support the development of dashboards, contribute to data visualization, and deliver insights that directly shape trial strategies and post-market surveillance. A strong understanding of biostatistics, machine learning techniques, and healthcare data is essential for success in this position.

Job Requirement:

  • Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical data analysis or healthcare analytics

  • Strong command of R, Python, and SQL for data processing and statistical modeling

  • Experience with EDC systems (e.g., Medidata, Oracle Clinical)

  • Familiarity with GCP, FDA, and EMA regulatory standards

  • Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM)

  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a regulated, clinical environment

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
