Job Description:

We are seeking a Ductwork Installer to join our HVAC installation team in Cologne. This role involves the installation, assembly, and repair of sheet metal ducts used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will play a key part in delivering air management solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects by ensuring precise and secure duct fittings.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and mechanical drawings, laying out duct runs, cutting sheet metal to size, and assembling duct sections using hand and power tools. The installer will secure ducts in place using hangers, brackets, and other supports while sealing joints to prevent air leaks.

You will work both independently and in coordination with HVAC technicians, electricians, and construction teams to complete installations on schedule. Attention to layout accuracy, airflow efficiency, and compliance with building codes is essential.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should have completed a vocational training program or apprenticeship in HVAC installation, sheet metal work, or a related construction trade. At least 1–2 years of field experience installing ductwork or ventilation systems is strongly preferred.

Applicants must be skilled in using hand tools, tin snips, drills, sheet metal brakes, and other equipment relevant to duct fabrication and installation. The ability to read technical drawings, measure accurately, and lay out duct routes in alignment with mechanical plans is essential.

A solid understanding of airflow dynamics, insulation techniques, and sealing methods is crucial to ensure the system’s functionality and energy efficiency. Familiarity with building codes, fire safety regulations, and HVAC installation standards in Germany is advantageous.

This job requires physical stamina and agility, as tasks often involve working overhead, in confined areas, and at heights. Dependability, attention to detail, and commitment to safety protocols—including the use of PPE—are expected.
