Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable Facility Maintenance Helper to support our store operations in Hamburg. This role involves assisting with the upkeep and functionality of the building and facilities, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
You will work alongside the senior maintenance technician, conducting inspections, handling minor repairs, and responding to maintenance requests from different store departments. Duties also include setting up equipment, replacing light fixtures, and ensuring that safety and cleanliness standards are met throughout the facility.
The role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience or an interest in learning various trades. It’s a physically active position requiring movement throughout the day and the ability to lift, climb, and carry tools and materials.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have at least a secondary school diploma and basic knowledge of building systems. Experience in maintenance or general labor is helpful but not mandatory. You must be familiar with hand tools and minor electrical or plumbing repairs.
Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions are essential. You must also be able to read and understand technical manuals and safety guidelines in German.
The role requires flexibility in work hours, including occasional weekend or emergency shifts. A strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset are necessary to succeed in this position.
