Job Description:
We are looking for a QA QC Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in our shipbuilding projects based in Hamburg. This role involves monitoring and inspecting all phases of ship construction, including material receipt, fabrication, welding, assembly, and outfitting, to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry regulations, and classification society requirements.
Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, reviewing quality documentation, preparing reports, identifying non-conformities, and coordinating corrective actions with engineering and production teams. The QA QC Inspector plays a critical role in verifying structural integrity, alignment, weld quality, and component installations throughout the shipyard process.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have a diploma or engineering degree in mechanical, marine, or industrial engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and control within the shipbuilding or offshore sector.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, IACS), and welding procedures is essential. Certification in quality inspection (e.g., CSWIP, NDT Level II) is highly preferred. Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills are required. Fluency in English is mandatory; German proficiency is an advantage.
