Candidates for the Category Manager position based in Florence, Italy must meet the following requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. A Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in category management, procurement, product management, or related roles, preferably within retail, consulting, or business services sectors.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive data to develop effective category strategies.
Negotiation Skills: Proven experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and optimize costs.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required; fluency in Italian is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Work Authorization: Must have legal authorization to work in Italy and willingness to work onsite in Florence.
