Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field assessments of freshwater ecosystems including ponds, wetlands, reservoirs, and artificial irrigation systems.
Monitor biological, chemical, and physical characteristics of water bodies to determine ecosystem health.
Identify and study aquatic flora and fauna, including native and invasive species, and their ecological interactions.
Analyze water samples and ecological data using laboratory and statistical tools.
Support the development of freshwater conservation plans and habitat restoration strategies.
Collaborate with government agencies, environmental consultants, and research institutions to guide sustainable freshwater resource management.
Provide technical reports, policy recommendations, and community education on freshwater ecosystem protection.
Assist in the implementation of environmental impact assessments for development and agricultural projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Freshwater Biology, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in aquatic ecology, preferably in arid or semi-arid environments.
Strong fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting skills
