Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct fieldwork to collect, document, and analyze plant specimens from various ecosystems across Kuwait.
Classify plants using morphological, anatomical, and molecular characteristics.
Develop and maintain herbarium collections and plant databases.
Collaborate with agricultural scientists, ecologists, and policymakers to support crop development, conservation efforts, and invasive species control.
Produce scientific reports, identification guides, and classification keys for native and cultivated plant species.
Contribute to research projects focused on plant biodiversity, taxonomy, and evolution.
Provide technical expertise in plant identification for government and agricultural organizations.
Ensure accurate plant labeling and documentation for research, educational, and conservation use.
Stay updated with international taxonomic standards and nomenclature systems.
Qualifications:
Degree in Botany, Plant Science, Taxonomy, or a related field.
Field research experience and strong knowledge of Middle Eastern flora preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills
