Job Description:
The AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Compliance Analyst in Hawally is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and reporting suspicious financial activities to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. This professional performs customer risk assessments, analyzes transaction patterns, and investigates alerts generated by monitoring systems.
The analyst reviews KYC documentation, examines high-risk accounts, and ensures compliance with Kuwait’s AML laws and international standards, such as those from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). They prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), contribute to internal audit reviews, and support law enforcement inquiries when needed.
Job Requirement:
A degree in law, finance, or a related field is essential. At least 3–5 years of experience in AML compliance or financial crime investigation is required. Strong knowledge of AML laws, transaction monitoring systems, and SAR drafting is critical. Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are highly preferred. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills are vital.
