Job Description:
The Import Export Compliance Manager in Hawally ensures that international trade operations comply with customs laws, trade agreements, and export control regulations. This includes managing documentation, licenses, duty classifications, and embargo screening processes. The manager liaises with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal supply chain departments to resolve issues and prevent delays.
They are responsible for developing trade compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and implementing internal controls. The role may also involve training staff on international trade regulations and monitoring regulatory changes affecting logistics and procurement operations.
Job Requirement:
A degree in international trade, law, logistics, or customs compliance is required. At least 5–7 years’ experience in import/export compliance is essential. Deep understanding of Kuwaiti customs regulations, GCC unified customs law, and international trade protocols (e.g., EAR, ITAR, WTO rules) is mandatory. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are key. Professional certifications such as CTCS or CCS are preferred.
