Job Description:
A Corporate Counsel in Hawally provides strategic legal advice to an organization on business operations, corporate governance, mergers, contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation matters. Acting as an internal legal advisor, the counsel ensures the company's legal exposure is minimized while supporting its strategic growth. Responsibilities include reviewing legal documents, drafting agreements, advising on employment law, and handling disputes. They work closely with senior executives, external counsel, and regulatory bodies to address legal risks and maintain compliance with Kuwaiti and international laws. The Corporate Counsel ensures alignment between business strategy and legal standards.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have a law degree and licensure to practice. At least 5–7 years of legal experience, preferably within a corporate legal department, is essential. Expertise in corporate, commercial, and labor law is required. Strong contract negotiation, litigation management, and legal advisory skills are necessary. Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is important. The ability to interpret laws across jurisdictions and excellent problem-solving capabilities are key. Candidates must possess leadership, integrity, and the capacity to balance legal risk with business objectives. Experience in regulatory compliance and board-level advisory is preferred.
