Job Description:
The Category Manager Director in Mahboula leads the development and execution of category strategies for key product lines in the e-commerce business. The role includes overseeing product selection, pricing, vendor negotiations, inventory planning, and category marketing. The director manages a team of category analysts and buyers and works closely with digital marketing, procurement, and customer service teams.
Key responsibilities involve defining the category’s vision, optimizing the product mix, ensuring healthy inventory turnover, tracking KPIs like margin and conversion, and managing seasonal and promotional plans. The director also leads vendor performance evaluations and strengthens supplier relationships to improve cost-effectiveness and assortment relevance.
Job Requirement:
MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Retail, or Merchandising
10+ years of category or product management experience, preferably in e-commerce
Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities
Deep knowledge of inventory planning, sales forecasting, and vendor management
Strong negotiation and financial modeling skills
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing category roadmaps
