Job Description:
The Die Fabrication Specialist in Al Farwaniyah is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dies used in stamping, forming, and molding operations for heavy equipment components. This role requires extensive knowledge of die structures, tool steel characteristics, and forming processes used in high-precision, high-volume manufacturing environments.
Key responsibilities include interpreting die design specifications, selecting and machining tool materials, assembling multi-part dies, and fitting components to ensure optimal function during production. The specialist uses CNC and manual machines to fabricate dies to tight tolerances, ensuring minimal material waste and maximum production efficiency.
Additionally, the Die Fabrication Specialist conducts trial runs and inspections to verify tool performance, making modifications as necessary. The role also includes preventive maintenance, polishing, and repair of worn dies to prolong tool life and reduce equipment downtime. Close collaboration with design engineers and production teams is essential to ensure that dies meet the functional and performance requirements.
Job Requirement:
Solid experience in die fabrication, preferably for the heavy equipment or machinery industry.
Strong knowledge of die structures including progressive, compound, and transfer dies.
Ability to interpret and work from CAD drawings, tooling specifications, and mechanical blueprints.
Skilled in using manual and CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
Familiarity with die assembly techniques, tool steels, and heat treatment processes.
Proficient in using inspection tools and performing die validation tests.
Strong attention to detail and high precision standards.
Technical diploma or certification in tool and die making or mold fabrication.
Capable of troubleshooting die failures and implementing design improvements.
Knowledge of safety regulations in die shops and manufacturing facilities.
Experience with mold flow analysis or die simulation software is a plus.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering and production teams.
