Job Description:
A Tanker Truck Driver in Al Ahmadi is responsible for transporting liquid or gas materials, such as fuel, chemicals, or water, using specially equipped tanker trucks. This role requires precision driving, strict adherence to safety protocols, and knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures.
The driver conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle and tanker components are functioning properly. Duties include monitoring fluid levels, checking pressure valves, and securing connections to prevent leaks or spills. Drivers must follow designated routes, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain detailed logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Given the nature of the cargo, drivers must comply with all transport regulations and emergency response procedures. They may also assist in loading and unloading operations using pumps or hoses, ensuring that transfers are conducted safely and efficiently.
A valid commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsements is mandatory, and a hazardous materials (HAZMAT) endorsement may also be required depending on the cargo. Prior experience driving tankers or transporting liquids is strongly preferred.
