Job Description:
The ABS Technician in Hamilton specializes in the diagnosis, calibration, and repair of Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) in modern vehicles. ABS is critical to vehicular control during emergency braking, and the technician ensures that all components, including sensors, control modules, and actuators, function accurately. The role involves using advanced diagnostic tools to read fault codes, inspect wheel speed sensors, test circuits, and recalibrate system parameters. The technician also repairs or replaces damaged wiring, mounts new sensors, and updates software as required. They work closely with vehicle manufacturers’ service manuals and electronic diagrams. In addition to ABS, they may handle related safety systems like electronic stability control (ESC) or traction control. Technicians provide detailed reports to workshop managers and explain repair outcomes to customers when needed. They maintain meticulous service logs and ensure repairs comply with industry safety standards. ABS Technicians often collaborate with brake specialists and service advisors to deliver full braking system support. The role requires up-to-date knowledge of evolving electronic brake systems and a commitment to precision and safety.
Job Requirement:
Education: Diploma in automotive electrical systems or equivalent training.
Experience: 2–4 years in ABS or vehicle electronic diagnostics.
