Job Description:
The 3D Game Modeler in Madinat ash Shamal, Qatar, plays a critical role in bringing digital environments and characters to life within interactive gaming experiences. Working closely with game designers, concept artists, and animators, the modeler creates detailed, optimized 3D models for real-time rendering. These models include characters, creatures, props, weapons, and environmental assets consistent with the game’s artistic direction and gameplay requirements.
Responsibilities include sculpting high-poly models using tools like ZBrush or Blender, then retopologizing and texturing them for in-game performance using software such as Maya, Substance Painter, or 3ds Max. The modeler ensures all assets meet technical specifications and integrate seamlessly with game engines like Unreal or Unity. Collaborative review sessions and iterative feedback are a key part of the role, along with occasional support in rigging or LOD (level of detail) creation.
The role demands an artistic eye, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of form, anatomy, and game asset pipelines. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about visual storytelling and immersive gameplay design in a fast-growing creative tech hub in northern Qatar.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in 3D Modeling, Game Design, Animation, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a game studio or interactive media production environment preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, ZBrush).
Experience with texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
Understanding of low-poly modeling and game engine optimization.
Familiarity with game engines (Unity or Unreal).
Strong portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling for games.
Ability to interpret concept art and turn it into game-ready assets.
Language: English proficiency required; Arabic is a plus.
