Job Description:
The Ceramics Kiln Technician in Al Khor is responsible for operating and maintaining kilns used in the firing and processing of ceramic products. The technician oversees loading and unloading kiln chambers, monitoring firing cycles, and controlling temperature and atmosphere to ensure high-quality finished goods.
Key duties include setting kiln schedules, inspecting ceramics before and after firing, performing preventive maintenance on kiln equipment, and troubleshooting operational issues. The technician collaborates with production and quality control teams to optimize kiln performance and product quality.
This role requires knowledge of kiln technology, ceramic materials, and firing processes. Attention to detail is critical to avoid defects such as warping or cracking. Job Requirement:
Education: Technical diploma or vocational training in ceramics technology, manufacturing, or related fields.
Experience: 1–3 years experience operating kilns or in ceramic manufacturing.
Skills:
Understanding of kiln firing cycles and temperature control.
Ability to operate and maintain kiln machinery.
Attention to detail for product quality inspection.
Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
Basic computer skills for logging production data.
Language: Basic communication skills in English or Arabic.
