Job Description:
The Travel Booking Agent in Al Khor is responsible for managing flight, accommodation, and transportation reservations for clients seeking both business and leisure travel services. The agent serves as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting them with selecting travel options that match their schedules, preferences, and budgets. Responsibilities include using booking systems to reserve flights, hotels, car rentals, and travel insurance; issuing e-tickets and vouchers; and ensuring that all travel documents meet international standards and entry requirements.
The agent handles inquiries, processes payments, and provides pre-travel advice on baggage rules, visa guidelines, travel alerts, and health protocols. The role also involves managing cancellations, rebookings, and travel disruptions in real-time. Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail are crucial, as the agent must avoid errors in names, dates, and destinations. The agent may also assist corporate clients with recurring bookings and track travel expenditure reports.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma required; a certificate or diploma in travel and tourism is preferred.
Experience: At least 2 years in a travel agency or booking office environment.
Skills:
Proficiency in global reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in booking and documentation.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
Language: Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
