Job Description:
We are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Barback Support Staff member to join our hospitality team in Abu Dhabi. This role is essential for supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar area runs smoothly during high-traffic hours. As a Barback, you will work behind the scenes to stock, clean, and organize supplies and equipment, contributing to a seamless and efficient beverage service experience for guests.
Your primary duties will include restocking beverages, glassware, and garnishes; replenishing ice bins; and ensuring that all bar stations are well-prepared and maintained throughout the shift. You will assist with unloading deliveries, rotating stock, and storing inventory correctly according to safety standards. Cleaning and sanitizing bar surfaces, tools, and equipment are also part of your daily responsibilities.
As a Barback Support Staff member, you will work closely with bartenders to anticipate their needs during service, enabling them to focus on guest interaction and drink preparation. You’ll also help with removing used glassware, clearing waste, and maintaining cleanliness in the bar area.
Attention to detail, speed, and physical stamina are key attributes for success in this role. The position serves as a foundational step toward a bartending career and is ideal for candidates passionate about working in a dynamic hospitality environment.
You will be expected to follow all hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Punctuality, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential traits.
Job Requirement:
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. While prior bar or restaurant experience is an advantage, training will be provided. Candidates must be physically fit, able to lift heavy items, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are necessary. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
