Job Description:
The Bulk Goods Loader is responsible for manually handling, loading, and organizing large quantities of merchandise, materials, or packaged products in retail warehouses or distribution centers. This physically demanding role includes moving heavy cartons, stacking pallets, and ensuring items are safely and securely loaded onto trucks or storage racks. The loader verifies the quantity and condition of goods prior to loading and collaborates with warehouse coordinators to ensure shipments match delivery schedules. Accuracy is essential when placing items to prevent damage in transit and to optimize space usage. This role may also require basic use of equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys, or shrink wrap tools. The Bulk Goods Loader is also tasked with maintaining cleanliness in loading zones, following all workplace safety protocols, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). They must adhere to instructions regarding handling fragile or hazardous goods, loading order based on routes, and ensuring balance for transportation. During peak operations, loaders may work extended hours to meet tight dispatch deadlines. The position supports logistics efficiency and plays a critical role in timely product movement across the supply chain.
Job Requirement:
Formal education is not mandatory; however, basic literacy and numeracy are useful. Candidates must have the physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy goods throughout the day. Prior experience in warehouse or logistics environments is an advantage. Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and maintain safety standards is crucial. Availability for early morning or night shifts and flexibility during high-demand periods is expected.
