Job Description:
The Chemical Safety Analyst ensures that laboratory and manufacturing environments adhere to chemical safety standards by managing hazard communication, implementing handling protocols, and maintaining compliance with occupational safety regulations. This role includes conducting risk assessments, classifying chemical hazards, developing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and training staff on safe chemical practices.
Daily responsibilities include evaluating safety data for raw materials and finished products, conducting chemical compatibility studies, maintaining hazardous material inventories, and supporting audits or inspections by regulatory bodies. The analyst collaborates with EHS, quality, and production teams to implement safety controls and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
This position plays a key role in preventing workplace incidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing the environmental impact of chemical operations.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or environmental science, with 3–5 years of experience in chemical safety or industrial hygiene. Knowledge of GHS classification, chemical labeling, and UAE or international EHS standards (OSHA, ISO 45001) is essential. Familiarity with MSDS management software and chemical risk assessment tools is required. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and fluency in English are necessary. NEBOSH or HAZMAT certification is preferred.
